Welcome to The Old Stables Clinic. Above all we want you to feel comfortable, relaxed and respected. The Old Stables Clinic has a focus on holistic health: this means that you are looked at as a whole person and an individual rather than the area of discomfort alone. So, as the Latin phrase De capite usque ad pedem says, you are looked after from head to foot.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday from 12.30pm to 7pm inclusive. There is also 24hr emergency service available.

Patient care at the clinic

Pain and the Person

During our day-to-day lives we sometimes try to teach our bodies to deal with pain and tension. Putting up with this pain and discomfort on a regular basis results in us using energy to deal with discomfort. This is why pain can be so energy sapping whether your problem is large or small.

Emphasis therefore has to be on the individual and the individual’s lifestyle, what is practicable and will effect the best result. The philosophy of the Clinic is centred on quality of care with consistent standards whether the treatment is short, medium or long-term.

About your Therapist

I originally trained as a Physical Education Instructor in the Royal Air Force and later progressed to Rehabilitation Therapy where patients from worldwide armed forces were treated for physical injuries sustained during active and non-active duties.

After some time out for marriage and children I decided to combine my experience of Rehabilitation Therapy with Remedial Massage. Later after further studies I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist and registered with the professional and statutory bodies.
